Security Cameras & Alarms

How do I get more installation jobs?

We have kept a nine-location Central Florida security camera company at #1 in its category for nine years. Commercial and residential buyers search differently, and both are winnable.

What usually goes wrong

  • Commercial vs residential intent mixed on one site
  • Multi-location cannibalization
  • Big-box and DIY competition

Our longest-running category

We have kept a nine-location security camera company at #1 in its category across Central Florida for nine years. That client is still with us. The reason is not a trick; it is that commercial and residential buyers search completely differently, and we built the profiles, pages and campaigns to match each.

Commercial buyers search by problem and scale: "warehouse camera installation Orlando", "access control for office building", "license plate recognition parking lot". They compare three installers, ask for site surveys and decide on credentials and references.

Residential buyers search by product and price: "home security camera installation near me", "doorbell camera installer Kissimmee". They decide on reviews, price and how fast you can come out.

What usually goes wrong

One website for two audiences. A single "Services" page that mentions homes and businesses in the same paragraph ranks well for neither.

Branch cannibalization. Several locations, each with a profile, all pointing at the same homepage. Google picks one to rank and ignores the rest.

Big-box and DIY competition. Searches for products go to Amazon and Best Buy. Installers win by owning the installation and integration searches, not the product searches.

No proof on the site. Security is a trust purchase. Sites without licenses, insurance, photos of real installs and named team members lose to the ones that show them.

What we do for security companies

Franchise SEO (from $350 per location). Per-branch Google Business Profiles with the right categories and services, a location page per branch with genuinely local content, citation management, review handling, a rank grid per branch, one dashboard for head office.

SEO built on two silos. A commercial silo (by industry: warehouses, retail, HOAs, schools, healthcare) and a residential silo (by product and city), plus brand and integration pages. National SEO for companies operating in several states is $5,000/month.

Google Ads split by intent. Commercial campaigns targeting decision-makers with quote-request landing pages; residential campaigns with call-first landing pages. $100/month plus 3–5% of spend.

A website with separate front doors. Commercial and residential paths from the homepage, license and insurance shown, project galleries with real photos, quote request flows into your CRM. $1,500 flat plus $200/month.

The first 90 days

Weeks 1–2: audit of every branch profile and the site's structure; commercial and residential keyword maps. Weeks 3–6: branch pages and profiles rebuilt, the first commercial and residential pages live, review flow from the install crews. Weeks 7–12: rank grids moving per branch, Ads optimized to cost per quote request, first roll-up report.

Questions people ask us

Commercial and residential buyers are very different. How do you handle both?

Separate paths from the first click: separate pages, separate profile services, separate ad campaigns. Mixing them on one page confuses both Google and the buyer.

Can you work with our existing brands and installer relationships?

Yes. Brand pages (Hikvision, Axis, Verkada, Ubiquiti, Lorex and so on) rank well for buyers who have already chosen a system and need an installer.

How do you handle several branches?

Franchise SEO: one profile, one location page and one rank grid per branch, one roll-up report. That is how we have run a nine-location company for nine years.
